Aims and Scope

Theater in Endourology and Robotics (Theater Endourol Robot, TiER), the official journal of the Korean Society of Endourology and Robotics (https://www.endourology.or.kr/), is an international, peer-reviewed and open access journal.

TiER is published biannually (1st day of July and December) each year.

TiER is an innovative, peer-reviewed platform dedicated to the advancement of surgical techniques, educational content, and technological innovations through high-quality video articles in the fields of endourology and robotic-assisted surgery (Laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery, Urolithiasis, Urologic oncology, Benign prostatic hyperplasia, Urinary tract reconstruction, Pediatric endourology, Female urology, Emerging technologies, etc.). In addition to video articles, TiER also welcomes original articles, case reports, editorials, letters to the editor, technical notes, and invited review articles to foster comprehensive academic exchange and collaboration.

Our mission is to visually document, disseminate, and promote cutting-edge practices that improve patient outcomes, surgical precision, and academic excellence. TiER focuses on publishing original and educational video content that covers:

  • Advancing Endourological Techniques: Investigate advancements in the field of laparoscopy, endoscopy, and other minimally invasive urological procedures.
  • Robotics in Urology: Focusing on the integration of robotics in urology, covering a wide range of robotic-assisted surgeries.
  • Step-by-step demonstrations of novel operative methods.
  • Surgical troubleshooting, complication management, and technique optimization.
  • Innovations and Instruments: Research on novel instruments, devices, and technologies to improve surgical precision, patient outcomes, and overall safety in endourology and robotic procedures.
  • Comparative analysis of traditional versus minimally invasive or robotic approaches.
  • Education and Training: Promote continuing education by publishing articles on surgical training methods, simulation techniques, and guidelines for introducing new technologies.

Ultimately, TiER aims to enhance the quality of patient care by encouraging innovation, research, and education, focusing on robotic and minimally invasive urological procedures.
